Hello community, I'm a Business and Management graduate with a 1:1 degree, passionate about social impact and seeking an opportunity to work within the sector. I find the role of a Funding & Grants Officer with preparing applications and reports most appealing, so I'm looking for advice... In the words of The Beatles, Help! "Won't you please, please help me?"

For my dissertation, I interviewed stakeholder groups within the social sector ecosystem. This helped me to gain context about funding and funding relationships from a number of different perspectives. I'm competent in writing essays, reports and proposals and offer over four years of sales experience and consistently achieved my sales quotas. Finally, I also worked briefly as a Fundraising Officer and International Project Coordinator where I raised income from individuals, businesses and celebrity donors.

Does anybody have any advice about how I could move into this role? What would be the essential criteria? Are there relevant volunteering opportunities to help gain some experience perhaps etc.?

 

Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
