Hi, does anyone know of any orgs who offer pro bono or free advice for charities? Law Works have declined our application as we're an animal rescue, although our query isn't related to animals.

We entered into an agreement with a venue for a fundraising event. Due to low ticket sales, we asked to postpone to a new date and the venue agreed, suggesting the cancellation terms wouldn't be triggered if we did. Having agreed the new date we began to plan the new event, only for the venue to then cancel the hire agreement in its entirety. They are now claiming the cancellation terms apply and that we are liable for their costs incurred. 

It all feels morally wrong, especially due to their actions since cancelling, but we'd like legal advice to confirm and recoup our deposit if this is the right course of action.
