Should we be using a volunteer module?

Hi everyone,
I work for a charity that used Raisers Edge but are not using the Volunteer Module. Does anyone use this? At first glance, it looks very limited but I'd be keen to hear about anyone who us using it a tall.
I've previously used Salesforce and Better Impact for recruitment and recording volunteer activity.
