Hello, Im very new and this is my first question. 

I want to set up a charity or CIC, acquire certain spaces which are abandoned and ugly, revamp them and turn them into mini shops for various trades such as coffee, snacks, souvenirs and more. I'm already in contact with the owners of the spaces.

What I'd like to know is if my Charity, which will be (Martial Arts For Mental Health), would be able to raise funds using those spaces to sell goods and generate income. Could I use my company that I have registered recently as a subsidiary to run my business and kill two birds with one stone and also take a salary?

1. Use funds to direct ex young offenders towards a disciplined lifestyle through martial arts and hire them as an employee for these retail units once they have completed the minimum time period at the martial arts school?

2. Make a difference to the aesthetic of my surrounding area by revamping and bringing these small kiosks back to life hence kill two birds with one stone.

I would appreciate any help!
