I'm fairly certain that I'm not the only person who is keen to volunteer but also needs to earn some money.  There is no getting away from my need to earn, but a part-time role would be OK and still allow me time to take on a voluntary role.   We all have skills, experience and enthusiasm to offer and I, like most in this sector, want to whole-heartedly support a cause that I am passionate about.  So how about taking up employment for three days per week and volunteering, with the same charity, for the other two days?  Or maybe employed for two days and volunteering for another one and a half days?  There must be charities, may be small or local charities, who would like to take on someone full-time but can only justify a part-time job!  Employmenteering could be a useful way for people with relevant skills to enter the charity sector as well as dedicating their work-time skills and voluntary time to the same cause and focusing their enthusiasm without any divided loyalties.   I would love to hear from anyone interested in offering their time in this way, or any charity that could find employmenteering useful, or indeed, anyone actually working in this way.
