I have been working in the non-profit sector for the past three years. First in an NGO based in Nicosia, working on education and environmental projects funded by European programs. Due to the small size of the organization, my work involved a variety of tasks and activities. I was responsible for the digital fundraising & marketing of the organization with newsletters, maintaining relationships with local and international donors, writing proposals for Erasmus + (KA1 and KA2), promoting through social media, and recruiting/training volunteers.
In October 2023, I joined an LGBT+ NGO in Copenhagen, specializing in gender equality and empowerment. I was responsible for maintaining communication with donors and organizations in East Africa, documenting project expenditures, and writing narrative reports. This role strengthened my ability to manage donor expectations and ensure financial transparency. Now, I want to try a brand new challenge by working as a freelancer to be involved in different kinds of projects and with various organizations to learn and grow at the same time!
